There is a lot in life that, at times, suffices to bring us down. If you have ever seen a sinusoidal wave, life is something similar to that. It has its ups and downs, but that doesn’t mean when you are at your lowest you will be staying there for the rest of your life. You’d be surprised to know that one of the greatest minds of all time, Albert Einstein, was never shown any confidence by his teachers. In fact, he was considered lazy because he would easily get distracted. Einstein faced severe negativity throughout his life. It wasn’t until he worked on his theory of relativity that shook the whole world, making him one of the greatest scientists to have ever lived.

Similarly, before successfully inventing the light bulb, Thomas Edison failed 1000 times doing it. Imagine failing 1000 times in a single endeavor. Ever heard of Stephen King? The king of supernatural and horror novels? He too faced severe rejection in his early days like his first book Carrie being rejected by 13 publishers. If it wasn’t for his wife, fellow author, Tabitha King’s support, we wouldn’t have books and movies like IT, the Shining, and The Shawshank Redemption.

Coming towards a more cooperative side, Walt Disney was told at the beginning of his career that he lacks the creativity and imagination required to continue doing what he does, and was fired by his newspaper editor. We all know where Walt Disney and The Walt Disney Company Stands today.

Had they given up, which was rather easy, the world would have been much different than it is today. It is because of these people who found the courage to overcome the worries and challenges of life that the world is on the track it is progressing on. Imagine, if all the people who have given up their dreams follow in the tracks of the names mentioned above, then we would be living in a much different world.

It may appear to be difficult to deal with the worries and challenges associated with accomplishing goals, but we have prepared a list of things you can do to manage stress in a constructive manner:

  • To manage our mental diet and avoid all negative news, press, and media as much as possible.
  • There are some people called ‘escalators’ who can escalate our worries if we share with them. Avoid these people, as escalators could be very draining mentally.
  • Try decluttering your mind by writing things down. Cut the clutter and rid yourself of any confusion caused, to retain your calm.
  • Laughter is the best medicine, so try to laugh every now and then, watch a funny movie, read a joke book, do something that will make you laugh.
  • Music can be used as a muse, for it can greatly affect a person’s mind and behavior. So choose what you listen to carefully.
  • Learn to let go of the past and focus on the present, for the present will determine your future.

If something is beyond your control (as some things are) learn to accept them. Worries and challenges are a part of life, stressing over them will get you nowhere. Rise above the darkness as there is always a light, we are here to lead the way and extend our hands, all you have to is grab it, and follow.
